MEET PEGGY McKENZIE
Renowned as a best-selling author of Western historical romance, Peggy McKenzie is a storyteller who has elevated love to legendary heights. Her passion for narratives steeped in the rich tapestry of the old West, brimming with adventure, second chances, and, above all, romance, has defined her literary journey.
The spark was ignited when she found herself captivated by the timeless love story of Miss Kitty and Marshal Dillon. Inspired, Peggy embarked on a mission to craft tales that resonated with her own unique voice and perspective. In 2016, she unveiled her debut novel, marking the beginning of a prolific career that has seen the publication of nearly thirty captivating works...and counting.
Formerly a cowgirl hailing from the heart of Oklahoma, where she thrived in the adrenaline-fueled worlds of barrel racing and team roping, Peggy now calls East Texas home. Nestled right in the heart of cowboy country, this locale serves as the perfect backdrop for her literary explorations. It is here that she immerses herself in the essence of rugged, flawed heroes and the resilient, courageous women who dare to love them.
Open one of her books, and you won't simply read a tale; you'll live it. Inside the pages of her books is where love becomes legendary.
"You will not just read a story by Peggy McKenzie, you will live it."

Meet some of my friends!
Silly Facts about me!
My favorite shows and Wild Wild West, Gunsmoke, Lonesome Dove, The Vikings, Hell on Wheels, The Last Kingdom, Downton Abbey, The Bridgertons, Good Eats, 1883, and 1923 just to name a few.
Football! My favorite sport! I’m talking about the football with the oval shaped ball, not the soccer ball. (Apologies to soccer fans) I'd even watch kindergarten football if it existed!
I hate scary movies. When somebody is alone in a house on a dark and stormy night, then follows a noise down into the basement, I want to yell at them and tell them how stupid they are!
I used to race barrels and actually won a buckle in my younger days. When my husband started team roping, I decided to join him and eventually, we roped as a team.
Dogs and horses are by far my favorite animals. With dogs especially, you always know right where you stand with them. They love you no matter how bad a day you’re having.
I used to ride a Harley. I started out with a Kawasaki 250 Rebel, but when I had mastered that bike, I moved on up to a big girl’s bike: a Harley- Davidson Softail Deluxe.
When I'm sitting still and don't have my laptop in my lap, I'll probably have crochet hooks in my lap. I'm not good at it, but I do like the feel of creating something with my hands.
I also used to team rope with my husband. I quit barrel racing and decided roping was gonna be a family thing. My husband was the header and I brought up the rear.
